''Gee, he was here a moment ago...''

Today marks the third anniversary of George Carlin's death. The legendary comedian, writer, actor and all round God died of heart failure on 22nd June, 2008. I discovered Carlin late in his career, downloading one of his albums, 'Back In Town' at random. I heard that opening routine and I have worshiped George and his amazing mind since that day.

''Why is it that most of the people who are against abortion are people you wouldn't want to fuck in the first place?

I now have all of his albums/DVDs in my possession, I have read his books, including books about Carlin and any related Carlin documents in print. The man changed the face of comedy, and changed the way I myself view life.

George was the greatest comedian this world has ever seen. With the ability to make you think, question, investigate, develop, cringe and of course, laugh, the genius of Carlin is still as relevant today than it was back in 1972 when '7 Dirty Words' first made people stand up and take notice. Above all, George Carlin was a great man.

Three years and still living strong.
